CH1-2 QCQs
QCQ 1: “War is a man’s game–that the killing machine has a gender, and it is male”.(6) War has been considered a man’s game since the beginning of time. However, many women share the same attributions to the men who have created this stereotype. Is war truly a man’s game, or is it impossible for anything to be a woman’s game in a male dominated society?
QCQ 2: “Something becomes real–to those who are elsewhere, following it as “news” –by being photographed”. A picture truly does create more understanding than moving pictures. To be able to digest the whole situation, and let it settle, creates a stronger reaction than a flash of a scene in a film. How easy is it for a population to become numb to different forms of media, and does technology play an affecting role on this question?
