CMM110 Journal #18
Now that the project is over, I would say that my group did well. We all worked divided the work evenly and contributed ideas in regards to formatting, context, and organization. We were able to make a group-chat and interact outside of class, which was helpful during the work/writing process (as opposed to the collecting and publishing process). That way, everyone came into class with their work ready and the team was able to discuss big-picture topics. I think the biggest challenge in this project was the presentation. Personally I am not a skilled public-speaker, and knowing that other people were relying on me added even more pressure. There were some bumps in our presentation which I think could have been solved if we had done one more dry-run. If we had to do this again I think a little more practice would have been helpful, but other than that I feel the project went smoothly. If I had to give a future student advice on this project, then I would tell them how important it is to be a team player (meaning participating, getting outside of class work done, and helping each other stay organized).
