This image, from 1998, depicts Bill Clinton as Commander-in-Chief. Clinton was known as a supporter of the women’s suffragist movement, along with his wife, Hillary Clinton. Willey, Clinton’s aid and the speaker at the front of the line, is accusing President Clinton of groping her in this image. My interpretation of this image is that, for Clinton, supporting the women’s rights movement was a political stance as opposed to believing that women really deserved equality.
I was surprised by how nervous I was about my interview today; it almost felt like I was applying for a real job. The added pressure of other people observing made it more stressful for me; however, I appreciated getting to be an observer. The mock interviews were very helpful! I enjoyed hearing some of the questions the hiring committees and interviewees posed. However, I think that hearing about the interviews gave me more anxiety about my interview. I am pretty nervous and don’t know what questions I should ask at the end of my interview; I didn’t want my questions to sound too nitpicky or negative.
