Capstone (LIL420)
Official Course Description: This course provides a capstone experience for students majoring in the Arts, Humanities, and Communications disciplines. Combining shared readings and seminar discussion with independent projects and the development of an ePortfolio, the course provides structured opportunities for students to reflect on their education, showcase their learning and disciplinary skills, and translate them for professional environments. The course concludes with a celebratory Arts and Humanities symposium in which students present their projects and/or portfolios.
My Description: This is a capstone class for students in the School of Arts and Humanities. The seminar-style class pushes students to ask and answer the question, “What makes the humanities, the humanities?” This course also provides students with an opportunity to work on their portfolio, resume, and cover letter. The course concludes with a symposium where students present their semester-long project — a revised version of a previous assignment that impacted their college experience.
