I am a very organized person who values clear-cut plans, communication, and goal-setting. Being organized allows me to make step-by-step plans, communicate them to others, follow through, and eventually reach my goal, whatever that may be. Although I am not the most outwardly extroverted person, I am good with people. Interviewing skills acquired from my internship and time on the student paper have taught me how to quickly connect and empathize with people in order to get the most information from them as possible and create a sustainable relationship. Networking is another of my strong suits, as I have good investigative skills and can also use the relationships I have to meet/get to know people. I would say that I am both a person who cares about the process and the team. Although I can easily step into the role of leader, I tend to shy away from that and try to work with a team where everyone contributes equally to the process. That said, if I feel the team needs a leadership role, I am not afraid to step up and do that. Leading by example and with empathy is very important to me and helps build trust among a team.
